City of Asylum

If dictators reviewed books written by authors they banned, what would they write? That was the basis of a campaign we created for City of Asylum—a nonprofit that promotes freedom of expression and provides sanctuary for persecuted writers. In this case, our faux scathing reviews become glowing reviews, considering the byline.

Fact is, every year, over 1,000 writers around the globe are silenced. A reality that seems foreign to most Americans. Just reading the works of banned writers can lead to severe consequences in some countries.
